Our Monthly Spark | September Edition
Fire pits, fresh routines, and something new just for you inside.
Wow, it’s officially the start of fall. I don’t put out fall décor until after Labor Day, so now it’s fair game.
This Labor Day weekend was quiet but much needed. After a hectic August filled with birthdays, family visits, and a baby shower, staying close to home felt good. I even dog-sat my neighbor’s anxious pup, which gave me the perfect excuse to slow down and finally clean up the garden. The harvest? What feels like a million tomatoes, a few peppers, and at least 20 cucumbers from just two plants. (If you need cucumber ideas, reply back. I’ve tested a lot!)
More than anything, I’m ready to fall back into a routine. Summer is wonderful, but I crave structure: cooler evenings, porch time, and simple nights by the fire pit to wind down before bed.
If you’re craving a reset too, here are two things to try September to keep life simple:
Plan one “easy dinner.” I slot in a no-cook or crockpot meal every week to cut the stress.
Start with a short to-do list. At the beginning of the week, jot down one simple thing you want to accomplish each day. It helps keep your focus realistic and your week manageable.
This slower season is also why I’m opening a free chance to join something new: Second Act Simplified, a membership for women who are past the busy mommy years and ready for something more, whether that’s a hobby, side hustle, or just simpler ways of doing things. As a subscriber, you’ll be part of the founding group shaping what this looks like.
And since the holidays always sneak up on us, I’m also bringing back my Christmas Countdown, a short weekly email in December with practical tips, meaningful ideas, and little sparks of fun to help the season feel lighter.
So tell me: which are you craving most this fall: simplifying routines, exploring hobbies/side hustles, or carving out breathing space? Hit reply and let me know. I’ll shape my next emails around what you need most.
Talk soon,
Jaime
P.S. Want early access to the new membership? This free invite is only going to email subscribers. No pressure, just a cozy corner of the internet made for you. Have questions or want more details, respond and let me know you are interested.
