About Our Daily Lifestyles
Helping Women Over 40 Create What Comes Next
You have spent years building a career, caring for people, managing responsibilities, and keeping life moving. From the outside, your life may look full and established. But somewhere along the way, you may have started wondering:
What do I want for myself now?
Our Daily Lifestyles is a space for women over 40 who are ready to explore that question.
Here, we talk about creating a fulfilling next chapter without walking away from the life you have already built. That might mean starting a side hustle, pursuing a creative project, rediscovering an old interest, traveling more, learning something new, or simply making room for parts of yourself that have been pushed aside.
The goal is not to reinvent your entire life overnight. It is to help you take realistic steps toward a life that feels more interesting, meaningful, and personal to you.
The Story Behind Our Daily Lifestyles
Our Daily Lifestyles began as a project between two sisters, Jaime and Heidi.
Heidi played an important role in getting the blog off the ground, helping shape its early voice, ideas, and direction. Her creativity and encouragement helped turn the idea into something real, and she will always be an important part of the story behind Our Daily Lifestyles.
As life and priorities changed, Heidi stepped away from writing regularly. Today, the site is primarily written and led by Jaime Westhause.
Jaime is a business owner, podcast host, blogger, and regional distribution manager with more than 25 years of experience in leadership, logistics, and building a career while managing a very full life.
She understands what it feels like to be grateful for the life you have while also wanting something that belongs to you.
That experience led to the creation of Second Act Simplified, the podcast and growing collection of resources dedicated to helping working women in midlife move from feeling stuck to getting started.

Our Mission
Our mission is to help women over 40 create a fulfilling next chapter through practical ideas, honest conversations, and realistic next steps.
We believe women should not have to abandon everything they have built in order to build something new.
Your experience matters. Your interests matter. The part of you that wants more still matters.
Our Vision
Our vision is to become a trusted resource for women in midlife who want to create something meaningful outside of their existing responsibilities.
Through the blog, Second Act Simplified podcast, practical guides, and supportive resources, we want to help more women believe that it is not too late to begin.
What We Value
Practicality
Advice should work in real life. We focus on small, realistic steps rather than complicated plans or unrealistic expectations.
Honesty
We talk openly about uncertainty, limited time, changing priorities, setbacks, and the imperfect process of trying something new.
Confidence Through Action
You do not have to feel completely ready before you begin. Confidence often grows after you take the first step.
Experience
Midlife is not a disadvantage. The skills, judgment, resilience, and life experience you have built are valuable foundations for whatever comes next.
Fulfillment
Success is not only about income, productivity, or achievement. It can also mean creativity, connection, curiosity, purpose, and having something that feels like your own.
