April: Your Perfect Moment is Now—Don't Miss It

If you’ve been waiting for the right time to start something new, I want you to hear this a little differently.

The right time usually doesn’t show up the way we expect it to.

It’s not a clear calendar, extra energy, or some sudden feeling of confidence. Most of the time, it just looks like a quiet thought that keeps coming back. That feeling that there might be something more, even if you can’t fully explain what it is yet.

Instead of acting on it, it’s really easy to stay in your head.

You think about it.
You research.
You scroll and save ideas.

You tell yourself you’ll figure it out first and then start.

I’ve been there too. Wanting something of my own, but not knowing what that actually looked like yet. Spending more time thinking about it than doing anything about it.  At some point, though, I realized something that shifted everything for me.

Clarity doesn’t come before you start. It comes from starting.

That doesn’t mean you need a big plan or a perfect idea. It just means you need a place to begin. Something small enough that you can try it without overthinking it or rearranging your entire life.

That’s really the reason I started something new this month.

I put together an 8-week series called The Second Act Starter Series, where I walk through this step by step. It’s built for real life, not some ideal version of it, and the goal is simple: help you move from feeling stuck to actually starting something of your own.

If you’ve been sitting in that space of “I know I want something, but I don’t know what,” I would start with the first episode on Friday 4/10.

→ How Do I Start a Side Hustle in My 40s (When I Have No Idea What to Do)?

Then just take it one week at a time. You don’t need to rush through it or have everything figured out. You just need to keep moving.

If you’re still not sure what your “something” is yet, I created the Second Act Pathfinder to help you sort that out in a simple, low-pressure way.

Right now, the goal isn’t to build something big. It’s just to get unstuck and take the first step.

Before you go, I’d actually love to know:

What’s one thing you’ve been thinking about starting?

You don’t have to commit to it or even do anything with it yet. But chances are, it’s already been sitting there in the background for a while.

And that’s usually where this begins.

P.S. If this resonated with you, I’d really encourage you to follow along with the full series. Each episode builds on the last, and it’s meant to be taken one step at a time.

Also, I had the opportunity to participate in Podcasthon and share an episode about Safe Families for Children. That one is especially close to my heart, and I’d love for you to give it a listen too.
